Today, 10th September, marks one year since Maiduguri experienced a devastating flood that displaced families, destroyed homes, and disrupted livelihoods. The journey since then has been one of resilience, courage, and community spirit. People came together to rebuild, while humanitarian groups and local initiatives provided vital support. As we remember that day, we honor those still recovering and reflect on the urgent need for sustainable solutions to protect vulnerable communities from future disasters.
